DALLAS (January 15, 2014) - Aimbridge Hospitality, the nation's second largest independent hotel investment and management firm, is pleased to announce that it has been chosen to manage the Atlanta Marriott Northwest at Galleria, located in the bustling Marietta/Northwest Atlanta area just minutes from some of Atlanta's largest corporations. The hotel is owned by Garrison Investment Group and represents Aimbridge Hospitality's sixth transaction with Garrison.
The Atlanta Marriott Northwest recently began a multimillion dollar refresh project, which includes updates to guest rooms and the roof. The 400 room, full-service hotel features 18 meeting rooms and more than 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space, four concierge levels, two restaurants (Fire Iron Grille and The Marketplace), high speed internet access, a health club and an indoor/outdoor pool. Located across from the Cobb Galleria Convention Center, the Atlanta Marriott Northwest is a short drive away from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, downtown Atlanta, the Georgia Aquarium and Atlanta Zoo, and Six Flags Over Georgia.
This property represents the sixth Marriott Hotel in Aimbridge Hospitality's management portfolio, and the ninth Marriott-branded hotel.
"We feel very fortunate to add the Atlanta Marriott Northwest to our management portfolio and expand our partnership with Garrison Investment Group," said Dave Johnson, President and CEO of Aimbridge Hospitality.
Chuck Pomerantz, Managing Director with Garrison Investment Group, the owner of the Atlanta Marriott Northwest, is excited about the opportunity to work with Aimbridge again.
"The Atlanta Marriott Northwest presents a great opportunity to expand our relationship with Aimbridge Hospitality and work together in a market like Atlanta, which has been experiencing tremendous growth in the hospitality industry," said Pomerantz.
