DALLAS, TEXAS (September 5, 2013) - Aimbridge Hospitality, the nation's second largest independent hotel management and investment firm, announced today that it has been chosen to manage the Embassy Suites Baton Rouge Hotel, located in the heart of Baton Rouge just minutes from Louisiana State University.
The Embassy Suites Baton Rouge will soon undergo a full renovation to the property's public space, meetings and events space and all guestrooms. The hotel will remain open during renovations, and the updates and improvements are expected to be complete in summer 2014.
The all-suite, 223-room hotel boasts more than 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space in addition to Zydeco Bar and Grill and in-room dining, high speed internet access, an indoor pool, fitness center and a putting green.
Aimbridge Hospitality President and CEO Dave Johnson is thrilled about the newest addition to the Aimbridge portfolio. This property represents the sixteenth Embassy Suites Hotel in Aimbridge's management portfolio, and the thirty second Hilton-branded hotel.
"We see great opportunity with the location and team at The Embassy Suites Baton Rouge hotel, and believe that we can capitalize on the planned renovations to substantially increase the value of the hotel," said Johnson.
General Manager Ralph Ney looks forward to the future improvements that the hotel will receive and the impact they will have on the Embassy Suites Baton Rouge.
"We feel that it is beneficial to introduce a completely upgraded and enhanced guest experience while still offering the same great value our guests are accustomed to," said Ney. "The renovations to our hotel will bring an exciting new dimension to Baton Rouge just in time to kick-off the 2014 football season."
