Our team is a dedicated, aggressive group of communications specialists, with decades of experience publicizing Fortune 500 companies and start-ups, major luxury brands, and b-to-b companies. Here are some of the members of our team: Michael G. Frenkel – President Michael Frenkel has 15 years in public relations and communications, all of them designing integrated programs for industry-leading companies. He founded M FRENKEL COMMUNICATIONS, MFC PR, in 1999. In addition to his role at MFC, Michael is an adjunct professor at the Preston Robert Tisch Center for Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management at New York University. Prior to founding MFC, Michael was a senior executive at two New York public relations firms. His work on accounts at those agencies resulted in a Golden Bell and a Silver Bell from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association, Inc. (HSMAI), representing such clients as Microsoft, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Courvoisier and the Mexico Ministry of Tourism. He has been published in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Lodging magazine, the Hospitality Business Review, hotel-online.com and Sweden and America. Michael is a graduate of the University of Chicago, with degrees in Political Theory and Political Science. He also received a Juris Doctor Degree from the Boston University School of Law. He is a member of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association, Inc. (HSMAI), a regional board member of the New York City Anti-Defamation League, and a Sustaining Member of the International Churchill Society. Steve Gaynes, APR Steve Gaynes, who has more than 25 years of public relations experience, is a media and account specialist at MFC. Steve is responsible for business and financial media relations on the agency’s existing accounts, as well as assisting in business development. He has been particularly active on the agency’s FelCor, Quechee Lakes Resorts and technology accounts. Steve has been managing director at Stanton Crenshaw Communications and a senior vice president of Mallory Factor Inc, an investor relations and public relations agency. Steve writes a weekly newspaper column, which has won awards in the New England Press Association competition; has been an adjunct professor at New York University since 1995, and developed a public relations certificate program at the University of Connecticut, Stamford branch. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University. Marcelo Marinho, MS A graduate of the New York University’s Preston Robert Tisch School of Hospitality and Tourism, Marcelo has more than six years of experience in travel, hospitality and public relations. He speaks five languages and is fluent in four. Before joining MFC PR as an account executive, Marcelo worked in management at VASP, Brazil’s second largest airline. His responsibilities included public relations and communications, as well customer service and quality assurance. Marcelo has taken a leadership role in helping to manage and execute MFC’s work on behalf of clients such as Heartscroll, The Cornell School of Hospitality Administration and Audemars Piguet USA. Stacey Frenkel, MBA Stacey Frenkel, is an MFC client relations and business development specialist. With a background in professional services, she has held professional positions at Arthur Andersen LLP and the United States General Accounting Office. She brings unique strategic business counsel and business-to-business expertise, and has worked with MFC clients including Great American Holdings, Future Technologies and Generational-Targeted Marketing Corp. Glenn Haussman In addition to being one of the travel industry’s most prolific journalists, Glenn Haussman is an account specialist and strategic consultant to MFC. Published regularly in such outlets as hotelinteractive.com and Host magazine, Glenn combines an editor’s ear with public relations flair, to support MFC clients. He was worked on behalf of clients including FelCor Lodging Trust (NYSE: FCH), the Cornell School of Hotel Administration and Quechee Lakes Resorts |
