Donald A. Brennan, Former Instructor at Conrad Hilton College at the 
University of Houston, 
Named Director of Development for Nevada Gold & Casinos

 

 
HOUSTON, Sept. 14, 2000 - Nevada Gold & Casinos, Inc.  (OTC Bulletin Board: UWIN; BSE: UWN), a resorts and entertainment company, announced today the addition of Donald A. Brennan as its Director of Development.  Mr. Brennan brings over 30 years of Hospitality experience in both domestic and international operations.

Mr. Brennan was a founder of Independent Private Clubs of America, Inc., (IPCA), specializing in consulting to public and private golf development businesses.  Prior to this formation, Mr. Brennan�s bi-lingual talents facilitated his position of Director General for ClubCorp International in Mexico.  He successfully headed the amenity developments of numerous planned mega resorts.

Mr. Brennan developed and taught a hospitality development course for The Conrad Hilton College at the University of Houston.  He also served as President of the Texas Hotel and Motel Association.  Mr. Brennan is a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and received an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

UWIN currently owns 43 percent of the Isle of Capri Black Hawk Casino, the largest casino in Colorado, through a joint venture with Isle of Capri Casinos Inc.  The venture�s new 237-room hotel, which is above the existing casino, opened in August 2000.  The company owns approximately 240 acres of undeveloped real estate contiguous to Black Hawk, Colo., which it intends to develop into a master-planned resort community.  In addition, UWIN has purchased over 800 acres of New York�s Wellesley Island to develop a resort site with a potential Indian-based casino.  UWIN also controls approximately 30 percent of Restaurant Connections International Inc. (RCI), which owns and operates 19 Pizza Hut restaurants in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  UWIN recorded fourth quarter earnings of $1,312,000 or $0.12 per common share for the period ending March 31, 2000.
