 American Resort Development Association Appoints 
Fifteen New Committee Members
Washington, D.C. � August 31, 2000 -- Following an intensive search and recruitment effort, the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) has assembled a group of high-level members to serve on its Membership Development Committee for 2000/2001. Upon the term expirations of the highly effective previous committee, Chairman Joel Lazar RRP sought fifteen volunteers for the new committee. Each of these individuals posses the specific experience and expertise to meet the challenge of producing over $2 million in dues revenues for 2001.

Committee members represent an array of industry-related professions, such as legal, finance, collections, resort development, property management, sales and marketing, telemarketing, telecommunications, and market research.  The ARDA Membership Development Committee is comprised of the following industry executives:

  • Sherrie Dorsten RRP (EMCC Inc.), 
  • Sharon B. Drechsler RRP (Concord Servicing Corporation), 
  • Gary Gilpin RRP (Bates Travel and Tourism, Inc.), 
  • Thomas A Goetschius RRP (Tom Goetschius Seminars), 
  • Dale F. Goodman RRP (Lane Hospitality), 
  • Stephen G. Magrill (Interval International), 
  • Nico March (Prudential), 
  • Grant E. Miller RRP (RCI), 
  • Cheryl C. Okamoto (The Teton Club), 
  • Gregory B. Sheperd RRP (Meridian Financial Services, Inc.), 
  • Paul K. Thompson (National Mortgage Lending, Inc.), 
  • Thomas E. Ward (Ward Financial Company), 
  • Gene White (Conrad Companies) and 
  • John Wunder (Timeshare Universe).
�The ARDA Membership Development Committee is tasked with working with ARDA�s staff to produce membership dues income that supports many key programs for the Association.  We take our responsibility seriously and this committee is poised to be one of the hardest working and productive groups of volunteers in ARDA,� said Lazar.

The Membership Development Committee�s mission is to assist the Association in new membership recruitment both domestically and internationally, to retain existing members and to develop member benefits that provide value through professional and business opportunities.
The American Resort Development Association is a non-profit trade association located in Washington, D.C. representing the interests of over 1,600 resorts, including second home resorts, vacation timeshare developers, fractional interests as well as timeshare homeowners� associations and individual timeshare owners across the country.
