 Mark A. Briskin Appointed GM and Jennifer McMahon 
Appointed DOS for The Muse hotel scheduled 
to open in late summer 2000
NEW YORK, June 2000 � Mark A. Briskin has been appointed General Manager and Jennifer McMahon has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for The Muse hotel scheduled to open in late summer 2000. 

Kevin P. Kilkeary, President and Chief Financial Officer of Interstate Hotels Corp., which is managing the project, made the announcement.  Located in the heart of the Theater District at 130 West 46th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, the 200-room Muse will offer upscale amenities and personalized service in an updated classic setting. 

In launching the new hotel, General Manager Mark Briskin will call upon his 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry.  Over the past 14 years, Briskin has served as general manager for properties ranging in size from 90 to 725 rooms, including The Royalton and, most recently, the Millennium Broadway in New York.  Prior to that, he held an array of operations and management positions with Hyatt, Hilton, and L�Ermitage hotels in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

Jennifer McMahon comes on board as Director of Sales and Marketing with a 15-year background in hospitality sales.  McMahon has previously served in top sales positions with hotels under the Hyatt, Sonesta and Marriott flags, as well as two hotels managed by Interstate:  The Charles in Harvard Square, Cambridge, Mass. and The Roosevelt Hotel in midtown New York.  She was most recently Director of Group Sales at The Roosevelt, where she was involved in re-opening the 1,013-room hotel after a two-year, $65-million renovation.

Just steps from the lights of Broadway, The Muse aspires to re-define contemporary convenience and comfort. Opening room rates will range from $295 to $395 with suites priced from $450 to $600.
