 E. Gail Barron Name Vice President, Client Services for Association and Event Management Firm,

Dallas, Texas -  July 18, 2000 -  Challenge Management, Inc., an association and event management company, has expanded its executive staff by hiring E. Gail Barron, CAE.  Ms. Barron, an experienced association professional who served most recently as director of meetings & events for the 3-million member U.S.  Youth Soccer Association, joins the Dallas-based company as Vice President of Client Services.

Ms. Barron will complement Challenge Management�s professional staff by providing executive management services to the firm�s larger state and national associations.  Her role will include serving as executive director of key association clients and consulting with clients on all facets of association operations and management.
Barron�s strong management background includes executive positions with several high-visibility organizations including Meeting Professionals International, Bowling Proprietors Association of America, the American Red Cross, Institute of Real Estate Management, the Arlington (Texas) Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Associated Independent Electrical Contractors of America.   In addition to holding the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation, Barron is an award-winning communicator, having been recognized with the Dallas International Association of Business Communicators� (IABC) Communicator of the Year Award, a Dallas Press Club Katie Award, and an IABC Bronze Quill, among others.
