Wyndham International and the Trammell Crow Family Agree to 20-year Management Contract on the 1,620 room Anatole;
Adding Meeting Space and Golden Door CitySpa
DALLAS (July 19, 2000) Wyndham International, Inc. (NYSE:WYN) and the Trammell Crow family announced today the restructured management agreement of the 1,620-room Wyndham Anatole in Dallas, the largest hotel in the Southwest.  As part of the new 20-year management agreement, Wyndham will expand the Anatoles meeting space and the hotels largest ballroom, making it one of the most versatile convention and conference hotels in the U.S., and will also add the Companys first Golden Door CitySpaSM.  Terms of the agreement, which is subject to receipt of certain third party consents, were not disclosed.

The Wyndham Anatole is owned by Anatole Partners, L.P., a company owned by members of the Trammell Crow family, and has been managed by Wyndham Management Corporation, an affiliate of Wyndham International, since 1995.

Because Trammell Crow not only created and developed the Anatole, but also founded Wyndham Hotels & Resorts back in 1981, it is not just a management contract that binds our two companies, but also a strong personal history, stated Fred J. Kleisner, president and chief executive officer of Wyndham International.  This agreement solidifies our affiliation with this tremendous asset over a long term period and enhances our relationship with the Crow family.

This agreement reaffirms our continued confidence in Wyndham management and its growth strategy for the Wyndham brand, said Harlan Crow.  Our family has a long history with the Anatole, and we are delighted with Wyndhams new commitment to help continue the hotels award-winning dedication to excellence.

The Wyndham Anatole, which already features over 330,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, will be further improved by the expansion of the Chantilly Ballroom from 28,400 sq. ft. to approximately 40,000 sq. ft.  The enhanced meeting space will allow the hotel the added flexibility to serve the growing needs of meeting planners.  The Crow Family will also make significant upgrades to common areas, meeting space, guest rooms and Nana Grill, the hotels five-star rated restaurant.

We believe that Wyndhams commitment to expand and upgrade the Anatoles ballroom and meeting space, together with the Trammell Crow Familys plan to upgrade the guest rooms, will ensure that the hotel nurtures its positive position as one of the preeminent group and convention hotels in America, added Charles Brindell, managing director of Crow Holdings.

Wyndham will also add a Golden Door CitySpa, a new proprietary, urban spa concept modeled after the renowned, Wyndham-owned Golden Door® Spa in Escondido, Calif.  The new day spa will be developed within the freestanding, 82,000 sq. ft. Verandah Club fitness center, creating a resort setting around the hotels private seven acre park where guests can enjoy swimming, croquet and tennis.  Both meeting space and spa enhancements will commence construction in early 2001, and are expected to be completed by the end of that year.

The Anatole is one of the leading meetings hotels in the world, with an unparalleled name and reputation for quality.  It will continue to lay the foundation for Wyndham as a major hotel brand of choice among meeting planners, said Ted Teng, chief operating officer for Wyndham. The addition of the spa and enhanced meeting space positions the Anatole as a complete meetings destination hotel providing us new sales and marketing opportunities within the spa and group markets.
