HOUSTON � Aug. 28, 2000 � ReservationSource, Inc., a developer of operations
management software and online reservations capabilities, has partnered
with the University of Houston�s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and
Restaurant Management to provide its proprietary floor management, customer
relationship management (CRM) and Web-enabled reservations technology as
part of the school�s curricula.
Students enrolled in the college�s Advanced Restaurant Operations Capstone course will learn to use the ReservationSource system through the Haute Technology program, designed by the school�s Technology Research and Education Center to enhance students� understanding of technology for use in the hospitality industry. �The hospitality industry has always been on the forefront of using technology to make its businesses run more efficiently,� said Stephanie Gusmeri, vice president of operations for ReservationSource. �We�re helping to advance that effort by preparing tomorrow�s restaurateurs to apply a new generation of technology to their operations.� The ReservationSource software enables Barron�s Restaurant, the school�s student-run, fine-dining facility, to automate and better plan, track and manage a variety of operating functions, including floor plan layouts, wait staff table assignments, customer relationship management, and online and other reservations. �ReservationSource offers a combination of attributes that make its software a powerful tool and a leader in the industry,� said Mark Hamilton, director, Technology Research and Education Center at the Conrad N.
