Five New Themed Restaurants Part of Renovation for
TIME OUT @ Jolly Beach on Antigua

Antigua, West Indies August 22, 2000 - - Tradewinds Resorts and its joint venture partner ABI Group announced plans for a variety of new food and beverage outlets to be completed during the closure of the Jolly Beach Resort in Antigua.  The resort closed August 12, 2000 for extensive renovations and construction in preparation for the December 15, 2000 re-opening as TIME OUT @ Jolly Beach, an all-inclusive, adults-only resort (16 years plus) for young and young-at-heart singles and couples.

With a host of new restaurants planned, TIME OUT guests are guaranteed to find something that appeals to all tastes, says Randy Russell, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Tradewinds Resorts.  Were proud to be able to introduce five new themed restaurants for the re-opening of TIME OUT @ Jolly Beach. Hemispheres, Olives, Ristorante Bocolo, Lydias and the Coconut Grill are each distinct dining experiences that are sure to satisfy even the most demanding of appetites.

Boasting an international theme, Hemispheres offers indoor and outdoor dining and features an extensive buffet.   The buffet area will be located indoors and will have a number of different food displays set out in Marche style to encourage guests to walk around and view the tempting choices.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests will experience cuisine from around the world without ever leaving the resort, says Mr. Russell.  Theme nights include Chinese, South American, Arabian Nights, Country and Western, East Indian and Caribbean with each night being complemented by costume, stage props and artifacts.

Modeled after a small village in Greece, Olives is an open-air courtyard café offering guests an authentic a la carte Greek menu with delicacies such as stuffed vine leaves, spanokopita, grilled mussels, octopus and lamb.  The restaurant will have two sittings by reservations only.

Ristorante Bocolo is the Italian a la carte restaurant and features a similar Mediterranean flavor. Set in an air-conditioned garden, guests can sample an assortment of fresh seafood and meats, tasty selections from the Anti Pasto Bar or delicious pizzas from the natural wood-burning oven.  This restaurant will be open for breakfast and dinner with two sittings at each meal.

For guests who dont want to miss any precious tanning time, they can quench their thirst and whet their appetite at the nearby Coconut Grill.  Open from 11 am till 10 pm, guests can sit beachside and enjoy freshly grilled meat or seafood, sandwiches and salads.

Serving Caribbean fare, Lydias is situated in the heart of Crab Hole Village, a lively vendors market.  Reclining in bamboo chairs and watching the palms trees sway, guests can enjoy lunch, dinner, or evening snacks in true Antiguan style.  Lydias will also be home to the weekly Caribbean Beach Parties with pig roasts, bonfires, limbo contests and other fun beach games.
