Michel Morauw and Peter Stettler Named Hyatt International's General Managers of the Year
Hong Kong June 2000... Mr. Bernd Chorengel, president of Hyatt International Corporation, announced on June 23 at the companys General Managers Meeting held in Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China, two recipients for the General Manager of the Year 1999 award. Since Hyatt International has grown extensively, with a total of 77 hotels currently in operation, the company feels it is more appropriate to select two General Managers for the award - one from Asia Pacific and another from Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America - in view of the different market conditions and other factors that influence the operation of hotels in these areas.
  • Mr. Michel Morauw, general manager of Hyatt Regency Paris, Madeleine and
  • Mr. Peter Stettler, regional director - Indonesia and general manager of Grand Hyatt Bali (who has since been transferred and is currently general manager at Grand Hyatt Jakarta).
