Jeffrey J. Kohl Appointed Director of Spa Operations 
at Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa
SONOMA, CA (May 2, 2000)�Jeffrey J. Kohl has been appointed director of spa operations at Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, as announced by Ulrich Krauer, managing director of the newly renovated 228-room, award-winning historic resort.

As spa director, Kohl will be responsible for overall operations of the Inn�s new 40,000 square foot spa, located 40 miles north of San Francisco in the Sonoma Wine Country.

Kohl brings to his position more than fourteen years� experience in the hospitality, spa and resort industry. Prior to accepting the appointment at Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, Kohl most recently was director at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Gardens, Florida, where he was responsible for daily management operations and employee relations. Previously, he was director of spa and fitness facilities for Florida Panther Holdings in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he oversaw the spa, fitness and recreation activities at six resorts.  Prior to that he held spa management positions with Disney Cruise Lines, The Disney Institute, and Firm Fitness, Inc.

Kohl is an elected member of the board of directors of the International Spa Association (ISPA), where he has served as the association�s treasurer for the past three years. This year, with the formation of the ISPA education foundation, he is their president.

Kohl is also a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise, American Heart Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a consultant to the United States Secret Service.
 
 

Sonoma Mission Inn's Spa is the most comprehensive full service coed adult Spa facility in Northern California. The Spa offers an outdoor natural hot artesian mineral water pool,  weight and exercise equipment room, and  daily classes in aerobics, yoga, step, stretch and body sculpting. 

A $20-million expansion of our Spa has just been completed. The new 40,000 square foot Spa is based on  the 135-degree mineral waters located 1,100 feet directly below the Inn. Its design is drawn from the centuries of famous European spa facilities and on the premise that mineral water from the earth is essential for a true spa. Its newly created Bathing Ritual and Immersion Programs  are the first of their kind in the United States.

Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is managed by Sonoma Spa Resorts, also operators of the Ventana Inn & Spa in Big Sur, California.
