Windsor Hospitality Group Installing CAIS
Internet Access in 5,500 Rooms

LOS ANGELES/WASHINGTON D.C. - June 26, 2000 - -In an effort to continue to provide hotel guests with a convenient and cost-effective means of conducting business while traveling, Los Angeles-based Windsor Hospitality Group today announced an alliance with CAIS Internet (Nasdaq:CAIS) for the installation of high-speed Internet access in Windsors nearly 5,500 suites and guest rooms.

Windsor Hospitality Group, a division of Windsor Capital Group, owns and/or manages a portfolio of 24 hotels in 11 states.  CAISs solution will be among the first of its kind to be provided in Windsors hotels and enables users to access the Internet at speeds up to 175 times faster than the standard dial-up connection. Guests can receive Internet access by simply plugging the CAIS DeskJack into the Ethernet card in the laptops, eliminating dial-up, which can cause costly phone bills, busy signals and dropped connections. The technology also allows Windsor properties to more effectively accommodate multiple meetings and provides more efficient real-time information to guests.

According to the Survey of Business Travelers, 1999 Edition, there were 43.9 million business travelers taking at least one business trip during the year. With the number of business travelers on the rise, we are pleased to give our guests the type of innovative and specialized services that make their stay more productive, said Mike Cryan, Windsors president and chief operating officer.

We feel this room enhancement demonstrates our commitment to offering the most advanced services and amenities for todays busy traveler. CAIS is pleased to expand its contract coverage to include premiere hospitality stops such as Windsor Hospitality Group properties, said Ulysses G. Auger II, chief executive officer, CAIS Internet. We are confident that CAISs low-cost, easy-to-use broadband services are a leading benefit for the busy business traveler.

The CAIS solution is an ideal end-to-end solution for hotel infrastructures. It brings high-speed Internet access to properties with no messy installation and expensive rewiring.  CAIS simply installs its filtering technology at the origin of the telephone signal on top of the propertys existing telephone systemallowing both voice and data to travel on the same line simultaneously. It alleviates PBX congestion while creating an Ethernet local area network.  When combined with dedicated broadband Internet connection, such as T1, T3 or DS3, the CAIS solution provides users an uninterrupted, dedicated high-speed Internet connection that can be shared simultaneously among many users in a hotel.

Los Angeles-based Windsor Hospitality Group, a division of Windsor Capital Group, owns and/or manages a portfolio of 24 hotels, representing 5,471 guest rooms and suites in 11 states.

CAIS Internet, Inc. (Nasdaq:CAIS) is a leading broadband access solutions company.  CAIS provides the mobile workforce with comprehensive high-speed Internet solutions while at home, in apartments, at work during the day in small-to-medium businesses, or on-the-go at airports, travel plazas, cruise ships, retail stores, and in hotel guest and meeting rooms.
