Educational Assistance to Dependents of Eligible Hilton Employees

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - June 20, 2000 - Demonstrating its corporate commitment to higher education, Hilton Hotels Corp. has launched the Hilton Hotels Scholarship, a need-based program developed to offer educational assistance to dependents of eligible team members.

The program is available to employees at corporate properties and offices that have joined the Hilton family as the result of last years acquisition of Promus Hotel Corp. In addition to Hilton, the other hotel brands participating in the program are Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Red Lion Hotels and Inns, and Harrison Conference Centers.

As part of Hiltons continued commitment to team members and the communities where Hilton and its family of brands do business, the company launched a pilot scholarship program in 1999. The academic scholarship program is designed to offer financial assistance for collegebound dependents of eligible team members regularly employed at Hiltons owned and operated hotel properties, reservation centers, and regional sales offices throughout the United States. The corporate offices in Beverly Hills and Memphis, Tenn. will also participate in the program.
