The 160-room Wyndham Drake Oak Brook is Wyndham�s tenth property in the Chicago area. It is near O�Hare International Airport and major corporate headquarters. The Wyndham Drake is owned by a pension fund client of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc. and is located at
2301 York Road, Oak Brook, Ill.

Wyndham also announced today that it chose not to exercise its right of first refusal to purchase a portfolio of hotels owned by Bedrock Partners consisting of 17 Wyndham Garden Hotels, including one in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. The Bedrock Partners portfolio is now being sold to another real estate company and the hotels will operate under different brand names beginning later this month.  The Bedrock properties did not fit with Wyndham�s strategy of focusing on full-service, upper upscale hotels in major markets.

Beginning this year, the company will also upgrade many of its high rise suburban hotels to full-service Wyndham Hotels, which offer additional meeting space, upgraded rooms and other business and leisure guest services.
