 Texas-based Developer Landmark Organization
Winning Bidder for the Hotel Las Hadas
and Golf Resort in Manzanillo, Mexico
AUSTIN, Texas, March 30, 2000 Texas-based developer Landmark Organization announced their selection as winning bidder of an auction for the famous Hotel Las Hadas and Golf Resort in Manzanillo, Mexico.

Were very excited about winning this historic resort property.  It will make an outstanding addition to our hospitality portfolio as we enter the resorts market. said Mark F. Schultz, President of Landmark Organization.

The 233-room Hotel Las Hadas, called the world's most exotic tropical playground by "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous," is as famed for its enchanting Moorish spires and domes as well as its luxurious suites facing the ocean.

Tin Mining Millionaire Don Antenor Patino was the visionary that transformed a beach cove in the once sleepy village of Manzanillo in the State of Colima, to a fairy-tale retreat conjuring images of Spanish Kings and Arabesque Courts.  With the assistance of award winning architect Jose Luis Ezquerra, the Tin King invested over $120 million in current US dollars ($33 million in 1974) to create a fantasy destination that to this day has not been equaled.  Featured by filmmakers in the movie 10, Bo Derek running on the beaches of Hotel Las Hadas put Manzanillo, Mexico on the map of world-class resorts.

A one time hideaway for Hollywood stars and celebrities seeking anonymity, Hotel Las Hadas is now served with an international airport in Manzanillo and continues to enjoy vacationers and sports enthusiasts from all over the world.  Hotel Las Hadas is also home to La Mantarraya Golf Course (designed by Pete Dye and voted one of the World's 100 Best Courses by "Golf Digest"), a magnificent tennis club and also the Marina gateway to the Sailfish Capital of the World.

Based in Austin, Texas, Landmark Organization works nationwide serving a broad range of clients from private industry to city, local and state governments as well as the Federal Government.   Landmark Organization is also the current developer of the 266-room Hilton Austin Airport Hotel, slated to open in late Summer of 2000 and the 800-room Hilton Austin Convention Headquarters Hotel, slated to open in 2002.
