  Johnny Peralta and Bernhard Kammerlohras Appointed to Executive Positions at Meliá Hanoi
Singapore, 7 March 2000 - Mr. Hubert Klemenz, General Manager of Meliá Hanoi in Vietnam today announced the appointment of Mr. Johnny Peralta as Financial Controller of Sol Meliá's newest Asia-Pacific property.

Mr. Peralta's immediate responsibilities include heading the administration of the hotel's overall finance and accounting activities.

Mr. Peralta brings to the post more than 25 years Asian experience.  He has held senior management positions with a number of international hotel chains throughout the Philippines, China and Vietnam. These include the Peninsula Group, and Bass Group and a number of independent properties including the Delta Philippine Dream Resort (Cebu), the Atlantic Zhao An Hotel (Shanghai), and the Hanoi Horison Hotels (Hanoi).

Prior to joining the Meliá Hanoi, Mr. Peralta was the Financial Controller of the Hanoi Horison Hotel.

A Philippine National, Mr. Peralta holds a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration from the University of the East and gained his professional training from the Certified Public Accounts Review School.

Hubert Klemenz also announced the appointment of Mr. Bernhard Kammerlohr as Resident Manager of Sol Meliá's newest Asia-Pacific property.

As Meliá Hanoi's new Resident Manager, Mr. Kammerlohr's immediate priorities will be to assist the General Manager in overseeing operations for the 308-room five-star business hotel. He will also be responsible for improving service standards for front office management, housekeeping, maintenance and security. He is also responsible for developing multifunctional roles of guest services including management of food & beverage at the hotel's outlets.

A German national, Mr. Kammerlohr brings to Meliá Hanoi more than ten years international experience in the hospitality industry. He has held positions with a number of international hotels, including the Hilton Group, Starwood Group, Bass Group, and Century Group.

Mr. Kammerlohr  is no newcomer to the Sol Meliá Group having served as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Meliá Purosani. Prior to his appointment at Meliá Hanoi, Mr. Kammerlohr was the Executive Assistant Manager of the Century Park Hotel in Bangkok.

A graduate from the Steigenberger Hotel School in Germany, Mr. Kammerlohr holds certification in Hotel Administration.
