Marathon’s new Hampton Inn & Suites hotel represents a new concept within the lodging industry:  a hotel that combines standard guest rooms with a significant number of two-room suites in a single property.  The Marathon Hampton Inn & Suites hotel features 55 guest rooms and 24 suites.

“Our new Hampton Inn & Suites hotel is an exciting addition to the Marathon market,” said Don Singletary, general manager of the hotel.  “With the full complement of guest services and amenities that Hampton Inn & Suites offers as well as watersport activities, we expect this hotel to become the “place to be” in lodging for business and leisure travelers in Marathon.”

Each guest suite in the new hotel features an apartment-style design with a separate bedroom, living room and kitchen area.  Suite bedrooms include either a king-sized bed or two queen beds, and living rooms include a queen-size sleeper-sofa, recliner chair and coffee table.  Twenty-five inch remote-controlled televisions are located in both the bedroom and living room featuring satellite “Direct TV” programming. The galley-style kitchen area features a microwave oven, refrigerator, two-burner cooktop and dishwasher, as well as an island countertop with seating.

The lobby area and balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico are utilized to provide a complimentary breakfast to all guests.  The hotel facilities include an exercise room, gift shop, meeting/hospitality room, and coin-laundry.

The new Hampton Inn & Suites hotel features five (5) in-room HBO movie channels, free local telephone calls, and a complimentary copy of USA Today. Seventy-five (75) percent of the guest rooms are designated as non-smoking, and allow children under18 years of age to stay free with an adult.  The hotel also offers an outdoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool, 41-slip marina, tiki bar, dive & snorkel operation, sunset cruises, charter boats on site and a watersport facility featuring parasailing, waverunners, rental boats and kayaks. 

The  hotel also features a Tiki Bar & Grill overlooking the marina and Gulf of Mexico.
