Development History:

The company introduced four mid-priced properties in 1989. They are located in:

  • Valencia, Calif.
  • Buffalo Grove, Ill.
  • Southfield, Mich.
  • Lancaster, Pa.
Further development was temporarily delayed due to soft economic conditions and decline in volume of business and leisure travel. In 1995, Hilton Hotels studied and refined its mid-scale product.  Seeing the return of favorable development conditions, today the company is committed to aggressive expansion of Hilton Garden Inn properties.

By the end of 1997, more than 100 Hilton Garden Inn properties were open or under contract. Hilton expects to exceed its goal of adding more than 200 properties open or under construction in the U.S., Canada and Mexico by the end of the year 2000.

The Hilton Garden Inn LAX/El Segundos address is: 2100 East Mariposa Avenue, El Segundo, CA 90245; phone: 310-726-0100; fax: 310-726-9606. The hotel is situated at the corner of Nash and Mariposa, off the 105 Freeway at the Imperial Highway Exit.
