LeSPORT, St. Lucia, Completes a Comprehensive
$9 million Refurbishment and Enhancement

Cap Estate, St. Lucia (January 5, 2000) - LeSPORT, St. Lucia, has completed a comprehensive $9 million project with the addition of 52 rooms and suites and the refurbishment and enhancement of the public areas.

With 15 new Grand Luxury Ocean Front Rooms, seven Grand Luxury Ocean Front Junior Suites, a Penthouse Suite and 29 Single Garden Rooms, the all-inclusive resort now has a total of 154 rooms and suites.

One of the highlights is the addition of dedicated singles rooms. To cater to the rapidly growing singles market, we have created rooms especially for these travelers, said Michael Bryant, General Manager of LeSPORT. The rooms are priced as singles with no supplement, all have four-poster queen size beds and are generously sized at 280 sq. ft. A second person can be accommodated at a further reduction from the single rate, added Bryant.

The new Grand Luxury rooms and suites are all ocean front with a balcony or terrace, have four-poster king size mahogany beds and are decorated in pastel colors. Furniture is rattan and mahogany and bathrooms are marble. The 900 sq. ft. Penthouse Suite has dazzling views and a whirlpool.

The enhancement project also included a total redesign of the main bar area, now called the Clubhouse. Gingerbread trim, plantation chairs, rhinoceros hide sofas and sail cloth ceilings evoke a colonial ambience.

The Piano Bar, another popular gathering spot, has been enlarged and totally refurbished with terra cotta red walls, white wicker furniture and red and white fabrics. LeSPORTs reception area was re-designed and now has a rather eccentric centerpiece: a crystal chandelier, one of three existing originals which once hung in the Czars Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Other changes include the addition of 8 treatment rooms at the Oasis, the resorts spa facility, which now has 47 rooms; enhancement of all guest bathrooms; stone re-tiling of guest room corridors and public areas; installation of a Jacuzzi by the main swimming pool; and the opening of a second boutique, exclusively for clothing.

This year two new tennis courts will be in place and a rock garden, plant nursery-with tours for guests-and a climbing wall will be added. In spring 1999, TAO, LeSPORTs second restaurant opened and already it has won multiple awards.

An all-inclusive LeSPORT vacation includes accommodation; all meals; alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; land and water sports, with instruction; fitness and stress management classes; services of a personal trainer; program of treatments in the Oasis; three pools; taxes; and gratuities.

The wide array of sports offerings includes scuba diving, water skiing, day and night tennis, sailing, archery, fencing and much more. Fitness and stress management classes range from aqua aerobics to step classes to Tai Chi.  Health and relaxation treatments at the Oasis include aromatherapy, massages, facials, seaweed wraps, and more.

LeSPORT is set on 15 tropical acres and has 300 yards of secluded Cariblue Beach at the northwest tip of St. Lucia.
