San Diego Paradise Point Resort
Kurt Hauser Promoted to Executive Chef
 
San Diego, CA - January, 2000 - Geoff Young, a career Ritz Canton executive, has been selected as the new General Manager for San Diego Paradise Point Resort. Young brings 15 years of premium and upscale hotel experience from Ritz Carlton Hotels. Most recently, Young was the General Manager of their Marina Del Rey property. Other background with Ritz Carlton includes Laguna Niguel, San Francisco and Cancun.
 
Young's focus as the new General Manager will be to improve and upgrade service levels and employee development. With an exclusive background of 5 star level hotels and resorts, Young has been hired to spearhead the revitalization and renovation of Paradise Point to new levels of success and recognition. "I want to provide an employee environment that fosters unprecedented levels of service to our guests," states Young. He also plans on using creativity in establishing new food & beverage promotions, such as gourmet food & wine events and holiday themed events.

Also - Kurt Hauser Promoted to Executive Chef
 
Kurt Hauser was recently promoted to Executive Chef at San Diego Paradise Point Resort, located in the heart of Mission Bay. Previously, Hauser was the resort's Executive Sous Chef for 2 ½ years. Hauser now oversees all food production at the resort, including restaurant outlets, banquets and receptions. He is also designated to create new and creative menus reflecting the resort's ongoing revitalization and multi-million dollar renovation.

His background includes Chef de Cuisine at the Marine Room and Executive Chef at La Casa del Zorro. Hauser has also received an Associate Degree from the Culinary Institute of America.

The San Diego Paradise Point Resort is currently underway with a multi-million dollar revitalization to include a grand new entrance and a spectacular new lobby. The resort's 462 renovated guest rooms will reflect the charm and character of a lavish California beach home by incorporating cheerful color schemes and marbled bathrooms. Future transformation efforts will include the expansion and enhancement of the main pool and fitness center, which will feature an elaborate beach and an extravagant spa and solarium.
