New York, NY - November 10, 1999�.Midtown Manhattan�s Shoreham Hotel
will celebrate tonight with a jazz party held in the hotel lobby and in
the new Shoreham Restaurant & Bar. The hotel, which just completed
a $15 million expansion and renovation, will debut its newly designed lobby
and lounge featuring cutting-edge use of light and materials including
marble, stainless steel and opaque glass.
�This is an exciting time for The Shoreham Hotel,� said Kinsey Dyckman, Chief Operating Officer of Boutique Hotel Group, the management company of The Shoreham Hotel. �The new design provides our guests with the highest quality accommodations and captures the clean, modern and luxurious feel of a stay at our hotels.� �Tonight we will celebrate a brand new Shoreham Hotel,� said William Howell, Chief Executive Officer of Boutique Hotel Group. �With this new design, we have created an elegant and contemporary environment for our sophisticated guests.� The celebration will include a jazz ensemble performance featuring acclaimed musicians Philippe Saisse, Jeff Golub and Andy Snitzer. The performance will be introduced by Deborah Rath of CD � 101.9, who produced the new Boutique Hotels CD entitled Salute To A Century of Jazz. The CD was created as a guest amenity as well as a creative brochure for the hotels. The new design created by architect Henry Stolzman of Pasanella and Klein Stolzman and Berg, the interior design firm, includes expanded lobby and lounge areas, a new meeting room and The Shoreham Restaurant and Bar. The Shoreham, located at 33 West 55th Street between Fifth and Sixth
Avenues in the heart of Manhattan, features 176 guestrooms including 36
suites and a dramatic Garden Suite located on the 11th floor. Its
location provides close proximity to Rockefeller Center and Fifth Avenue�s
finest jewelers, boutiques and department stores as well as Central Park,
the Museum of Modern Art, American Craft Museum and Carnegie Hall.
