Parsippany, NJ, September 13, 1999 - Cendant Corporation
(NYSE: CD) today announced that it has named Bruce V. Bloom as president
and Chief Executive Officer of Knights Franchise Systems, Inc. Bloom replaces
Ramesh B. Gokal who retired.
Bloom has extensive experience in franchise and hospitality management.
He most recently served as senior vice president and brand manager for
Fairfield Inns by Marriott International. He served as vice president,
Development, for Krystal Company, a 325-unit restaurant chain, where he
directed franchise sales, development, corporate and franchise real estate,
construction and property management. Bloom has also held senior
management positions with Roy Rogers, Marriott Family Restaurants, Perkins
Restaurants, International Dairy Queen, Golden Chicken of Minnesota and
Four Brothers Inc.

Bloom is active in a number of professional organizations. He
is a Certified Franchise Executive recognized by the International Franchise
Association (IFA) and a member of that organization�s Board of Directors.
He is a member and past chapter president of the National Association of
Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE), and a member of the International
Council of Shopping Centers.
Bloom holds a B.B.A degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
School of Business Administration.
