August 18, 1999 - The James Madison Hotel in downtown Norfolk,
Virginia is pleased to announce that Michelle Worth has been selected for
the key position of Director of Sales & Marketing. Worth will be responsible
for all areas of Sales, Catering, Account Management and Marketing for
the newly renovated upscale boutique hotel.

professional to head up our marketing efforts�, said Murray Dow, President
of The Dow Hotel Company. �With our renovations completed, The James Madison
now offers the elegance and personal service not previously available in
Norfolk, and we are confident Ms. Worth will get the message out both locally
and regionally�, Dow continued.
Prior to joining The James Madison, Worth was The Director of Group
Sales at The Clarion Hotel in Norfolk. Previously, she was The Assistant
General Manager and Food & Beverage Director of the Holiday Inn 1776
in Willamsburg, Virginia. Ms. Worth was also the Director of Catering for
the Radisson Hotel Hampton (VA), Omni Hotel Newport News (VA) and Registry
Hotel Charlotte (NC). She is 1991 graduate of North Carolina State
University, with a BS in Recreation Administration and Commercial Tourism.

of 1998 by The Dow Hotel Company, a Washington State Hotel Management Company
and investment group. The hotel completed an extensive top-to-bottom renovation
