Paris, 10 August 1999. - Accor has just signed a 15-year
leasing contract, with an exclusive 5 year renewal option, on 6 hotels
belonging to the private Danish group Sorana, owned by Lorentz Jorgensen.
These 6 hotels (666 rooms), previously operated by the Plaza Hotel Group
(PHG), are situated in the very center of Copenhagen. They include the
renowned Plaza (93 rooms), the Richmond, Mercur, Triton, Crown and Star.
The Plaza will become part of the Sofitel network, while the other establishments
will be incorporated into Mercure and Ibis.

The leasing contract will take effect from 1 October 1999. Renovation
works totaling 60 million Danish kroner (8 million) are planned, at a cost
of 20 million kroner (2.66 million) to Accor and 40 million to the ownership
company.
With the signing of this contract, Accor establishes its presence in
another Scandinavian country where, at the start of the year, the Group
already consolidated through the acquisition of 21 Good Morning hotels
in Finland and Sweden.
