| THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Benchmark Hospitality recently
announced the appointments of Kevin Maven to the position of Director
of Rooms and Iain Robertson as Controller at the Canadian Imperial
Bank of Commerce Leadership Centre (CIBC) in King City, Ontario, Canada.
The announcement was made by Sam Haigh, Chief Operating Officer, Benchmark
Kevin joins the Benchmark team from various rooms division management positions throughout Ontario. His extensive background in numerous hotel property management systems will add to the propertyís growing resources in the rooms division.
Iain joins Benchmark after having held several financial management positions with a variety of hospitality companies, both in the U.S. and in Canada. CIBC will benefit from his broad financial background in the hospitality industry.
The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Leadership Centre serves as an internal training and meeting facility. Located on 110 acres of rolling hills and 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, the property offers 124 guest rooms, several casual living room areas, a dining room seating up to 300, a world class high ropes course for teambuilding activities and full recreational facilities. The 22,000 square feet of meeting space is comprised of 30 function rooms, including a multi-purpose auditorium, an intimate theater with 34 seats, and a computerized Decision Support Room.
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Benchmark Hospitality recently announced the appointment of Frank Rossi to the position of Club Manager at The Casperkill Country Club in Poughkeepsie, New York. The announcement was made by Sam Haigh, Chief Operating Officer, Benchmark Hospitality.
Frank began his career with Benchmark in July 1996 as Food and Beverage Director at Casperkill and for the past two and a half years served as Director of Operations. In his new position, Frank will have responsibility for the day-to-day operations at the property.
The Casperkill Country Club offers a facility that effortlessly combines business with pleasure. Originally designed and operated for internal use by IBM for its employees, with meeting and banquet facilities for company functions, IBM recently began the process of opening these properties to users outside of the company and accepting golf and recreation memberships and group functions from other organizations.
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Benchmark Hospitality recently announced the appointment of Ellen Ruane to the position of Director of Rooms at The AT&T Learning Center in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. The appointment was announced by Ellen Sinclair, General Manager of The Learning Center.
Joining Benchmark in 1995, Ellen served as Director of Rooms at the formerly managed The Forrestal at Princeton (New Jersey) for three years. There she also served as project manager during the propertyís renovation. Ellen then went to The Founders Inn and Conference Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where she was acting Rooms Director and part of the Benchmark Task Force to help with the takeover of The Founders Inn. Before assuming her current position, Ellen had served as Director of Rooms on an interim basis at The AT&T Learning Center.
