|STOWE, Vt., June 22, 1999 - - inntopia.com, the real-time
leisure lodging network, today announces it will release its CenRes™ management
software free to central reservations agencies and call centers worldwide.
Valued at more than $10,000, CenRes offers an easy-to-use, comprehensive
solution for agencies and call centers to automate and streamline their
operations, reach a broader audience of leisure travelers and generate
additional revenue streams. inntopia.com has signed the Sugarbush Chamber
of Commerce in Waitsfield, Vermont as the first user of CenRes.
CenRes is the first free and complete software solution to provide a fully-synchronized link between the agency management system and the front desk of each member hotel, giving both the agency and the hotel access to real-time room inventory information. CenRes also integrates directly with an agency’s Web site, providing the agency with a real-time online booking engine that can process reservations 24 hours a day.
“Because our chamber of commerce is located in a resort community, our
financial and personnel resources are limited. CenRes allows our smaller
reservation service to offer 24-hour booking capabilities for our members
through our Web site,” says Susan Roy, executive director of the Sugarbush
Chamber of Commerce. “We also find that Web traffic to our site has increased
greatly through our affiliation with inntopia.com. In fact, it has been
the number one referral site to our Web site for the last several months.”
By adding the inntopia.com real-time booking engine to their Web site, central reservation agencies and other destination-focused Web companies can earn 25 percent of the total commission on all rooms booked from their site. By enrolling hotels as inntopia.com members, destination Web sites can also earn an additional 25 percent of the total commission on online room reservations made for these members when booked through their Web site or any other inntopia.com affiliated Web site, in perpetuity.
“CenRes is a serious software package for central reservation agencies,” says Karl Schroll, co-founder of inntopia.com. “These agencies can run their entire business with this one free product. While the agency is closed or its call center is busy, it can still book hotel reservations through the Internet and make money in the process. These key features make CenRes an extremely powerful and novel solution.”
