The Spanish hotel company Sol Meliá has recently signed a management contract with the Tunisian company Compagnie Monastirienne Immobilière et Touristique to take over the Sol Elite Jockey Club from 1st. May, the company�s eighth hotel in Tunisia. The four star hotel is located in Monastir.

With the take-over of the Sol Elite Jockey Club, Sol Meliá raises the number of hotels it operates in Tunisia to eight with a total of 3,236 rooms. The hotels are located in Djerba (Meliá Djerba Menzel), Mahdia (Meliá El Mouradi Mahdia), Port El Kantaoui (Meliá El Mouradi Palace, Sol Club El Kantaoui, Sol Club Selima and Sol El Mouradi) and Monastir (Sol Helya and Sol Elite Jockey Club).

Sol Meliá thus continues with its diversification strategies, both in terms of the location of its hotels and the brands under which they operate. Sol Meliá is the biggest resort hotel company in the world and currently operates more than 250 hotels in 25 countries.
