352-room Sheraton Washington, D.C. City Center Hotel Converted to Wyndham
To Undergo $5.7 Million Renovation
 
DALLAS - March 2, 1999 -- Wyndham Hotels Resorts, a division of Wyndham International, Inc., has converted the 352-room Sheraton Washington, D.C. City Center Hotel to the Wyndham brand, according to James D. Carreker, chairman and CEO of Wyndham International, Inc., the paired operating company of Patriot American Hospitality, Inc. (NYSE:PAH). The hotel has been renamed the Wyndham City Center, Washington, D.C.

The hotel, ideally situated in the heart of Washington, D.C., is located between the White House and Georgetown University and is within walking distance of the Capitol's "power corridor." As part of the conversion, the hotel will undergo a $5.7 million renovation, to be completed in two phases. Phase One will include a complete renovation of the exterior and all first floor public spaces, including a redesigned lobby, restaurant and lounge.

The addition of a Shula's Steakhouse is possible for the Wyndham City Center in the near future. All meeting space, guest rooms and corridors will be completed in Phase Two.

Currently, there are two additional Wyndham properties in Washington, D.C., including the 400-room Wyndham Washington, D.C. located at 1400 M Street NW and the 239-room Wyndham Bristol Hotel located at 2430 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W.

The Wyndham City Center offers groups 14,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space accommodating up to 400 people. Other meeting services include on-site certified meeting managers, creative catering, a full-service business center, secretarial services, language translation and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment services. Located at 1143 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, the hotel is 15 minutes from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, 45 minutes from Dulles International, and is accessible to the Metro underground mass transit system. Hotel features include complimentary health and fitness center, a multilingual concierge, valet service, 24-hour room service and the Washington Grill Restaurant, offering fine dining and the East Coast's largest collection of single-malt Scotch.
