SAN DIEGO - March 29, 1999� Trigild Corporation, a
leading property management firm based in San Diego, has taken over management
of Whitewater Canyon in Chula Vista, Calif., one of the largest water theme
parks on the West Coast.
�Our overall mission is to implement an aggressive marketing campaign
and reposition the property to improve profits,� said Trigild�s president
and founder William J. Hoffman.� The immediate goal is to take over
the park�s day to day operations, and to get it up and running � ensuring
that it is fully staffed and completely prepared for summer visitors by
opening day on May 1,� he added. Hoffman said that Trigild
will hire more than 400 employees � including 140 certified lifeguards
� to staff the park during the busy summer season, which runs through Labor
Day.
With 16 water slides, a four story interactive play structure, a 1,250
square foot running river, a children�s activity pool and a wave pool with
500,000 gallons of water, the 32-acre family theme park opened to much
fanfare in June of 1997. Featuring an 1890s Gold Rush theme, the
park is at 2052 Otay Valley Road in Chula Vista, located in South San Diego
County.
