Entertainer Wayne Newton to Develop Theaters at Isle of Capri Casino, Tunica, MS
 
BILOXI, Miss., March 2, 1999 -  Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISLE) announced today that it has entered into a joint venture agreement with Wayne Newton to develop theaters at the Isle of Capri Casino locations. Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. is a 50% owner in the joint venture with Erin Miel, Inc. (Wayne Newton is the principle of Erin Miel, Inc.). Erin Miel, Inc. will be responsible for daily operations of the theaters.

The first Isle of Capri location to host a Wayne Newton Theater complex will be the new Isle of Capri Casino in Tunica, Mississippi. The joint venture plans to operate two theaters at this location with combined seating for over 2,000 people and a separate performers residence. The theaters will bring a blend of headliner acts, longer running review shows and national touring productions. The Isle of Capri Casino -- Tunica is the original Harrah's casino facility which will be renovated and carry the Isle's Caribbean-themed brand which is readily recognized throughout the South and fast becoming so in Black Hawk, Colorado with the Company's latest casino opening in December 1998.

With the first two theaters being built at our new Tunica facility, we will raise the level of professional entertainment in Tunica, and the Mid-South."

Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. also owns and operates five riverboat, dockside and land-based casinos at four locations, including the Isle of Capri Casino, Crowne Plaza Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi; the Isle of Capri Casino in Vicksburg, Mississippi; the Isle of Capri Casino Hotel in Bossier City, Louisiana; two riverboats operating as the Isle of Capri Casino in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and the Isle of Capri Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado. The Company also operates Pompano Park Harness Racing Track in Pompano Beach, Florida and through a joint venture, the Enchanted Capri cruise ship sailing from New Orleans, Louisiana.
