Carl Winston Joins Trigild as 
Chief Operating Officer
 
SAN Diego, Calif. - February 23, 1999 - Carl Winston has joined Trigild Corporation, a San Diego based hotel company, as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He has full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of all Trigild owned and managed properties, working closely with the corporate office personnel and all on-site managers.

"Trigild is positioned to grow significantly through hotel acquisitions, development and long-term management contracts. Carl is an integral part in making this happen," states Bill Hoffman, Trigild President.

An 18-year hospitality veteran, Carl Winston has directed the operations of hundreds of hotels and restaurants. A graduate of University of California, San Diego, he earned his Masters Degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.

Winston began his hotel career with Laventhol & Horwath, and later joined Motels of America, a chain of economy lodging properties, as Vice President. He joined Forte Hotels in 1990 as Executive Vice President. Chartwell Leisure purchased their U.S. and Canadian assets in January 1996 and Winston continued with the company, operating 110 full and limited service hotels.

In 1997, Mr. Winston joined Jeepers!, a start-up company of family indoor amusement parks featuring rides, games and food, as Senior Vice-President.

Trigild is one of the largest hotel management companies in the West, and has been operating hotels for 23 years. It has managed hundreds of hotels for its owner-clients, and in recent years has been acquiring under-performing hotels with a strong upside, and repositioning them.
