|DALLAS - Jan. 12, 1999--Patriot American Hospitality, Inc.
("Patriot"), whose shares (NYSE:PAH) are paired and trade as a single unit
with those of Wyndham International, Inc. ("Wyndham" and, with Patriot,

program at the 14th Annual Hotel Industry Investment Conference, Jan. 12
- 14, at the Century Plaza Hotel Tower in Los Angeles.
Several Wyndham International executives will be on hand to help launch the franchising program and answer questions from hoteliers and others interested in learning more about franchising 'The Wyndham Way.'
"Key players in the lodging and real estate industries have been asking for years to become part of the Wyndham brand and its terrific story," said Wyndham International Executive Vice President Tom Lattin. "Now we can accommodate those requests. We have six powerful products immediately available or under development for franchising within the Wyndham International family. Each is attractive for its own unique and compelling reasons, and we expect that people will find Wyndham's franchising philosophy equally as unique and attractive."
Lattin will be joined by David Johnson, president of Wyndham Garden Hotels and Wyndham Grand Heritage Hotels, and other key company executives during the conference. Additional information about Wyndham's hotels and franchise program will be available during the conference at a booth staffed by Wyndham representatives. Among the items available will be brochures and a video featuring the Wyndham brands available for franchising; Wyndham executives and current Wyndham hotel operators will be available to answer questions regarding the company's new program.
Following is a brief description of the Wyndham International products available for franchising:
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts' flagship properties are found generally in major metropolitan locations. These upscale hotel and resort properties average 400 rooms and offer 15,000 to 250,000 square feet of meeting space. More than half of these properties' revenue comes from group business. The Wyndham Hotels portfolio currently includes 30 hotels and 11,838 rooms.
Wyndham Grand Heritage Hotels
These historic and architecturally unique hotels are located primarily in the central business districts of primary and secondary markets. While these majestic properties offer immediate appeal to leisure travelers, they also provide Wyndham franchises with major growth potential among business travelers. There are currently 11 Wyndham Grand Heritage hotels, with a total of 1,987 rooms.
Wyndham Garden Hotels
Located almost exclusively near airports or in suburban markets, these properties are full-service, upscale hotels. Wyndham Garden Hotels are a superior choice for business travelers because they offer a three-meal restaurant, catering facilities, meeting space and room service. The Wyndham Garden product currently includes 59 hotels and 10,637 rooms.
Other brands in the Wyndham International family that are under development for franchising, subject to regulatory requirements, include the following.
Summerfield Suites Hotels
Summerfield Suites Hotels are upper-scale, all-suite hotel properties that cater to the needs of business and leisure travelers needing longer-term accommodations. They are located primarily in major metropolitan suburban markets and feature separate living and sleeping areas, full kitchens, enhanced work areas, a complimentary breakfast and evening social hour. Private voice mail, video players, in-suite irons and ironing boards, swimming pools and exercise facilities, on-site convenience stores and "room service" contracted from area restaurants also are featured. In addition, Summerfield Suites offers signature two-bedroom, two-bathroom suites designed for equal-status business travelers in training classes or attending meetings, and for families on weekend excursions.
Sierra Suites Hotels
Sierra Suites Hotels are a new brand of mid-priced, all-suite hotels. Positioned at the highest end of the mid-priced segment, Sierra Suites are designed to meet the needs of today's extended-stay travelers and, like Summerfield Suites, are located primarily in major metropolitan suburban markets. Sierra Suites offer fully equipped kitchens, iron and ironing board in every suite, courtyard swimming pools, exercise rooms, light continental breakfast, 24-hour gourmet coffee, among other amenities.
ClubHouse Inns offer services and amenities tailored to both business and leisure travelers. This unique mid-scale hotel concept was pioneered by Wyndham to provide affordable "self service" comfort in an at-home atmosphere. ClubHouse Inns feature complimentary full, hot breakfast, nightly manager's receptions, garden areas with outdoor pool and barbecue facilities, and the special club room for socializing. There are currently 11 ClubHouse Inns, located in both primary and secondary markets.
