Larry Cooper comes to the Marriott following four years as general manager of the Radisson Suite Resort in Sand Key, Florida. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, he has held management posts in Winegardner Hammons hotels for all of his 17 years with the company.

Slated to open in mid-March, the Birmingham Marriott features 295 guest rooms, the RiverCity Grille Restaurant and Lounge, a Concierge Level and Lounge, and 14,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
