Barcelo Hotels  Strengthens its Presence 
in Colombia with 3 Additional Hotels
 
January 14, 1999 - From January 15th onwards Barceló Hotels will expand significantly its activity in Colombia with the incorporation of three additional establishments into its chain, which will be operated under management.

The landing of Barceló Hotels in the South American country took place last year during the month of June, starting with the exploitation of Barceló Hotel Torre de Cali, in Cali.

The three new hotels, which do now belong to the chain are:

Barceló Egina Aparthotel & Suites: this 5-stars-hotel, with 20 suites, is situated in the residential area of Bogota, capital city of the country.

Barceló Le Manoir Hotel & Suites: belongs to the same category as the previous one; it is also situated in the Northern (residential) part of Bogota and has 40 rooms, including a presidential suite and nine junior suites.

Barceló Egina II Aparthotel & Suites: also a 5-stars-hotel. It has 30 suites and is situated in the centre of Medellin.

With these incorporations into the hotel chain, Barceló reaches the total amount of 48 establishments distributed as follows: 50% belonging to the European continent and 50% to the American one.
