Spain's Barcelo Hotels Adds Six Hotels
Located in Turkey

Palma de Mallorca, February 2nd, 1999 - The Hotel Division of the Barceló Group will begin its activity in the next future in Turkey, through the incorporation of six new establishments into its chain.

These six hotels have been incorporated into Barceló Hotels under a management contract; as the Spanish hotel chain is the main shareholder of the company which has the management rights. All establishments, with holiday character, are situated in the Bodrum zone, the Turkish coast bordering with the Egea sea, Southwest of Anatolia. Additional to the natural beauty of the beaches, there is also the presence of the surrounding sites of remarkable historical interest: Efeso, Didyma, Mylasa, Afrodisias, as well as Halicarnasos itself (old denomination of Bodrum).

The six hotels of recent incorporation, have a category which corresponds to three-star-hotels-"superior" and are the following ones:

  • Barceló Rexene: in Gübet, with 160 rooms
  • Barceló Ora Village: in Kaynar Mevkii, 160 rooms
