Staniloff, president of Calgary-based Royop Hospitality Corporation, was
awarded with Super 8�s most prestigious honor, The President�s Award, representing
the Franchisee of the Year for 1998. The award recognizes a Super
8 owner who has shown extraordinary dedication to Super 8 and has made
a significant contribution to the success of both the chain and his or
her organization.

8 Motels, Inc., who concurred with the final decision. �He has far
exceeded Super 8�s growth expectations in Canada and has set the bar for

Staniloff has been president of Royop
Hospitality Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Royop Properties
Corporation, since the company was formed in 1997. Royop develops
the Super 8 brand in Canada through a combination of joint ventures and
franchise expansion. There are now 61 Canadian Super 8 motels open
and 47 under or in proposed development. The company aims to have
100 Super 8 motels in operation by 2000. Staniloff has had a personal
or corporate interest in 26 properties. Six motels are set to open
in the first quarter of 1999.

Mr. Staniloff is responsible for the sale of franchises and
on-going franchise relations and overseeing the development and construction
of corporate-owned and joint venture projects. His expertise lies in structuring
deals and strategic alliances with franchisees, vendors, and joint venture
partners. As President of Superior Motels Developments Inc., he was instrumental
in the development of 22 Super 8 Motels in the past three years. Previously,
Mr. Staniloff was Partner and Vice President of Armada Development Group,
a western-based development company which developed in excess of $135 million
in commercial and industrial real estate. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce
degree from the University of Calgary. Mr. Staniloff is on the Franchise
Advisory Board for Super 8 Motels Inc., and is the sole Canadian member. |
