announced the appointment of Mr. Jean-Paul Fontenille, as General Manager
of the Novotel Ambassador Toksan, Seoul
Mr. Fontenille, a graduate from the Hotel Administration College of Paris, France, furthered his education in the USA as a management trainee with Quality Inns in Virginia and later with RCA at the Watergate in Washington DC. Mr. Fontenille joined Accor of France in 1978. His 20-year tenure with the company includes postings in Africa, Iraq, France, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia and China. His professional background covers roles as diversified as head controller and operation analyst, rooms division manager, corporate instructor, General Manager of deluxe resort hotels and city hotels, corporate sales & marketing director and operations coordinator, as well as a 5 year tenure as General Manager Executive Office at Accor's regional headquarters in Sydney, Australia. His most recent posting was in China as General Manager of Novotel Hefei, a 246 room 4 star hotel situated in the Provincial Capital of Anhui. Novotel Ambassador Toksan, Seoul in the newest deluxe hotel managed by Accor Asia Pacific in Korea. Opened in September 1997, the hotel is currently celebrating its first anniversary.
