October 08, 1998- HSI, the Boca Raton, Florida based
Point-of-Sale system provider announced the release of it's newest module,
QuikPoll, today. Designed with current and future customers in mind,
QuikPoll pulls data manually or automatically from multiple locations for
compilation at a corporate location. Any spreadsheet application
that can accept ASCII text can be used to create customized reports using
the data retrieved by QuikPoll.
As a precursor to an HSI's Enterprise Polling Solution, currently in
development, QuikPoll provides an affordable data polling method for operations
large and small. The individual site automatically dials the corporate
office system after the posting of nightly sales.
Pre-specified files are then transferred to the corporate location.
Polling of sales, labor and inventory data has become an essential for
today's successful operators. "HSI is committed to providing polling solutions
to all of our clients, regardless of size. The development of QuikPoll
was intended to satisfy the demands of a polling structure, while providing
the opportunity to both our 3.x and 4.x platform users," says Jim Carlson,
President and CEO of HSI.
Founded in 1992, HSI delivered the first Windows* based Point-of-Sale
