LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20, 1998 - Arthur Andersen's Hospitality
and Leisure practice has expanded its capability to deliver a full range
of services with the formation of the U.S. Hospitality Industry Team (HIT)
headed by Ron McNair.
McNair has more than 17 years of experience in providing strategic and technology services to hospitality and entertainment companies. As the Director of Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting Hospitality practice, he specializes in organization and operations improvement, serving the strategic, reengineering and systems needs of the hospitality industry. Ron is highly skilled in the design and implementation of business strategies that drive enhanced organizational performance. The U.S. HIT will work in conjunction with regional HIT teams in Europe, Latin America and Asia/Pacific to help clients mitigate risks and capture opportunities caused by global trends, such as scarcity of human capital, mergers and acquisitions, consolidation and increasing competition for customers. Arthur Andersen will offer services such as strategic planning, operations, and information technology to support hospitality clients in broadening their customer base and expand into new areas of growth. Today's value drivers are no longer simply tangible assets; they are also information, relationships, and technology. With this new framework, acquiring knowledge management, and developing customer relationships is key. Arthur Andersen has positioned U.S. HIT to serve the global needs and customer relationships of the U.S. hospitality industry. "U.S. HIT will develop and deliver 21st century business solutions to the U.S. hospitality industry anywhere and everywhere in the world," says Ron McNair.
