announces the creation of a new hospitality division. IDT Hospitality
Group will focus on database design, creation and maintenance for the hotel
and resort industry.
IDT Database Technologies, a Philadelphia-based database services and software company, announced today that it has formed as new division focused exclusively on the hospitality industry marketplace. IDT Database Technologies � Hospitality Group, will be staffed by industry professionals with years of hotel related experience in operations, automation and marketing. The Hospitality Group will make extensive use of the rapid application development (RAD) tools developed and perfected over the last decade by IDT. �We found, while working with our hotel customers, that many were interested in developing data warehouses, creating database marketing and guest loyalty programs or employing sophisticated data mining tools but were continually frustrated by the difficulty of constructing and maintaining the databases required to support those initiatives.� Said Harry Rivkin, President of IDT. �This is where the extensive experience and proven expertise of IDT proves invaluable.� With the announcement of the formation of the Hospitality Group, IDT also announced that John W. Clevenger has joined the firm as vice president and director of sales and marketing. �John brings more than twenty years of experience in the industry to the Group,� said Rivkin. �He has an extensive background in data warehousing, property management, marketing database and food service systems.
