Holiday Inn-Texarkana Undergoes
$1.7 Million Renovation

TEXARKANA, Ark., Dec. 4, 1998 -  The Holiday Inn-Texarkana is launching a comprehensive $1.7 million renovation this week that will upgrade virtually every area of the hotel.

The hotel's exterior will receive a makeover resulting in a completely new look. Inside the property, the lobby area will be refurbished with new furniture, flooring and wall coverings. The Holiday Inn's 210 guest rooms will be redecorated with new drapes, upholstery and bedspreads, as well as new floor and wall coverings. Construction is scheduled for completion in February.

"Our hotel now will offer its guests the best of everything -- an excellent location combined with the appearance and atmosphere of a brand-new hotel," said Robert Dulworth, general manager of the Holiday Inn-Texarkana I-30.

The Holiday Inn-Texarkana I-30, at 5100 North Stateline Road, is located in the heart of Texarkana's business district. The hotel's renovation is part of Bass Hotels Resorts' billion and a half dollar modernization program of all Holiday Inns nationwide. Initiated in 1994, the program provides for upgrades and renovations to exteriors, public areas and guest rooms. The program is a "rolling" initiative, which will effectively rejuvenate the entire Holiday Inn system every seven years.

The Holiday Inn-Texarkana I-30 is operated by Dallas-based Bristol Hotels Resorts (NYSE: BH) and owned by FelCor Lodging Limited Partnership, a subsidiary of FelCor Lodging Trust (NYSE: FCH). Bristol Hotels Resorts is the largest independent hotel management company in the United States and operates the largest number of Bass Hotels Resorts branded hotels in the world. Bristol's more than 120 hotels include over 32,000 rooms in 27 states and Canada. The company's hotels operate in the mid-priced to upscale segments of the industry and are located in 19 of the top 25 lodging markets in the United States. Bristol operates nearly 100 Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn properties and is a leading franchisee in Bass' billion-and-a-half-dollar modernization program. By the year 2000, Bristol will have overseen the investment of $400 million in the redevelopment of Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels.
