GARY, Ind., Sept. 9, 1998 - Officials of Trump Casino
are hoping for a "full house" every day with the opening of the new Trump
Hotel.
Scheduled to open its doors on Monday, September 28, with 96 of its
luxurious 300 rooms ready for occupancy, the hotel is located at 21 Buffington
Harbor Drive in the Buffington Harbor area of Gary, Ind. It is the only
hotel in Indiana overlooking the scenic shores of Lake Michigan. The new
hotel is adjacent to the Trump Casino.
Guests will enter an exquisite atrium lobby and can enjoy amenities
such as an indoor heated swimming pool, a 24 hour restaurant and cocktail
lounge, two large hot tubs and three lavishly appointed suites, as well
as other comforts that characterize the mark of a fine hotel. Nine of the
deluxe guest rooms also feature Jacuzzis.
Because of the hotel's location in northern Indiana and the number of
tourists and business persons coming into the area, the hotel will also
offer conference rooms suitable for small business meetings or social functions.
"Whether our guests come for a weekend of casino excitement, a wedding
or an important business meeting, the hotel will provide them with a pleasurable
experience," said Joe D'Amato, Chief Operating Officer.
Trump Casino opened in June, 1996. In addition to the Gary location,
Trump owns and operates three properties in Atlantic City, N.J. The opening
of the hotel will create 125 jobs in the northern Indiana area.
