Gendron graduated from the Hotel School of Lausanne in Switzerland and began his career as a hotelier in 1973, at Holiday Inn Luxembourg. He joined the ACCOR group in 1979 as the Assistant General Manager at Sofitel Dialogue Libreville (Gabon) and became the General Manager of Novotel Kimbo Beach  (Gambia) in 1989. He continued with the ACCOR group as the General Manager of Sofitel 2Febrier-Lome (Togo), Sofitel Alger (Algeria), Sofitel Abidjan (Ivory Coast) and Novotel Paris Porte de Bagnolet (France).  Prior to joining the Novotel Ambassador Kangnam, he was the General Manager of Sofitel Palm Resort & Golf Johor Bahru (Malaysia) and has been exposed to various cultures through working in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia for more than 25 years.
 

The Novotel Ambassador Kangnam, also is pleased to announce the recent appointment of its new Director of Sales & Marketing Mr. Duk-Sang Chang.

Mr. Duk-Sang Chang, a graduate of King Sejong University (Tourism & Hotel Administration) began his career as a hotelier in 1981 at the Seoul Tokyo Hotel.  He continued on to the Front Office and Sales & Marketing Division at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul and prior to joining the Novotel Ambassador Kangnam he was the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing at the Renaissance Hotel Seoul.

During his 16 consecutive years of experience as a hotelier he participated in intensive overseas training at Century Hyatt Tokyo and Professional Development Program at Cornell Hotel School.

A joint venture between the ACCOR group of France and the Ambassadors Inc. of Korea, the 336 room Novotel Ambassador Kangnam, Seoul opened on September 16, 1993, as the first hotel to be established under French management in Seoul, Korea. Novotel Ambassador Kangnam, Seoul is one of the latest deluxe hotel to be opened in Seoul since 1988, in an advantageous business district in southern part of Seoul which is growing to be the new area of fast-growing Korean business and economic industry.
