Lodging Development
---
LAFAYETTE, Calif - July 20, 1998 - -In concert with the myriad of new commercial revitalization projects in downtown Lafayette, The Amin Group, a Lafayette-based hospitality development company, announces this week their intentions to develop the city's first new lodging establishment in over ten years on the site of the existing Hillside Inn Suites at 3748 Mt. Diablo Boulevard.

The seventy-plus room development will feature business-conferencing facilities and mid-range, suite-style accommodations geared towards the long-term business traveler, relocations, out-of-town guests, vacationers and other extended-stay market segments.  Detailed plans will be submitted for approval within the next three to six months.  Information regarding potential
management company and/or franchise affiliations will also be forthcoming.

According to Bhupen Amin, J.D., V.P. of Development and Operations, "We are pleased to be a part of the revitalization of Lafayette and look forward to offering high-quality, affordable accommodations and conferencing facilities to this market."

The Amin Group currently owns the Hillside Inn  Suites as well as twenty-two other hotels nationwide, eight of which are in the San Francisco Bay Area.  With more than forty years of owning and/or operating quality facilities, The Amin Group is well positioned to meet the lodging needs of the booming East Bay market.

Bhupen Amin continues, "We are looking forward to maintaining a long-term relationship with Lafayette.  This redevelopment represents part of our extended commitment to the community."
