Seattle, WA, --Thursday, July 2, 1998 -- Jim Wilmer, Pat
Remy and Patrick McFarlan have joined forces to form a new company, The
Hotel Guys, LLC, a hotel management company specializing in
the management and marketing of independent inns, resorts and hotels.
Wilmer, President of The Hotel Guys, brings with him experience in hotel
marketing for a variety of chain and independent hotels and resorts, including
Westin Hotels and Resorts and Maxim�s de Paris, Palm Springs. McFarlan,
a former hotel marketing executive with Westin Hotels & Resorts and
Four Seasons Hotels, will serve as Operations Director. Remy, Chief Financial
Officer for The Hotel Guys, has an extensive background in marketing, and
was formerly an executive at Wells, Rich, Green and Chiat/Day advertising
agencies.
The Hotel Guys was formed because its principals saw a need to provide marketing services to smaller inns, resorts and hotels. �Through our experience marketing a wide variety of properties, we recognized that the smaller independent properties didn�t have the competitive advantage and revenue-producing capabilities that larger hotels and affiliate chains have. Our combined marketing and hospitality backgrounds afford us the experience to fill this very specialized niche in the marketplace,� Wilmer continued. �Our goal with each property we manage is to improve operating efficiencies and increase the off-season business, while at the same time maintaining personal attention and exceptional service for hotel guests. We also look at upgrading amenities and activities that will appeal to each hotel�s target audience.� The Hotel Guys, LLC recently announced their first hotel management
contract with the Carmel Valley Lodge, in Carmel Valley, California. The
31- room Lodge and Conference Center (Carmel Valley Rd & Rord Rd) has
been under the ownership and management of Peter and Sherry Coakley
since 1975.
