DALLAS, TX, August 25, 1998 - TIV, a Dallas-based telecommunications
consulting firm, today announced that it was awarded a contract by Forte
Limited of the United Kingdom, a world leader in the hospitality
industry. The agreement calls for TIV to extend services to 240 Forte hotels
on four continents over the next 18 months. Financial arrangements of the
contract were not disclosed, but this represents a significant revenue
opportunity for TIV.
TIV has already begun conducting auditing services for a number of Forte properties under the agreement. The company will work directly with local hotel general managers and finance controllers to provide recommendations for reducing telecommunications costs, increasing revenue and providing guests with improved calling services. TIV's auditing includes, but is not limited to, evaluating each hotel's international telecommunications usage and the effective deployment of a comprehensive call accounting strategy. Implementation of TIV's auditing recommendations is expected to occur throughout 1998 and 1999. The contract with Forte provides that TIV is the exclusive provider of these services. During this time, TIV will manage a variety of activities for Forte properties, including rate audits and analysis, pricing analysis, call verification posting, and market analysis. Also, Forte has demonstrated a clear interest in learning of new product rollouts from TIV that might further leverage their use of telecommunications to do more business.
