 Loews Hotels selects HSI Profit Series POS for "House of Blues"; Miami Beach hotels
HSI named preferred POS vendor for Promus Hotel Corporation
 
 
 August 18, 1998 --- Loews Hotels, the New York based subsidiary of Loews Corporation, has selected the HSI Profit Series Point-of-Sale software for installation in the soon to be opened "House of Blues" property in Chicago, IL.  The hotel will feature the largest House of Blues Restaurant, the largest Smith and Wollensky outside of New York, 2 other entertainment venues, 4 restaurants, a 26 lane AMF bowling alley, a high energy Lobby Bar, marina and boat rentals in complex and a 25,000-sq. ft. full service health club. 

The Miami Beach property is the first "new" hotel built on the beachfront in the last 30 years. Combined with the legendary St. Moritz hotel in the heart of South Beach, accommodations and amenities at the new property include 800 art deco styled rooms, 57 elegant suites, six restaurants and bars, a 28,000 square foot ballroom and a 5,000 square foot fitness center. 

The HSI Profit Series software is a Windows* based application running on a Windows NT* 4.0 platform.  The system utilizes touch screen based, customizable layouts to minimize training time and costs.  In addition to the Profit Series product, HSI produces on-line, Credit Card Authorization software and interfaces to most major Property Management Systems.

HSI named preferred POS vendor for Promus Hotel Corporation

August 18, 1998 --- HSI, the Boca Raton, Florida based Point-of-Sale system provider, was named preferred POS vendor for Promus Hotel Corporation.  The preferred vendor status follows a successful 2-year arrangement as POS supplier to the DoubleTree and Red Lion brands. DoubleTree Corporation recently merged with Promus Hotel Corporation. Operations will continue under the Promus Hotel Corporation name.

Promus owns, operates or franchises 11 brands consisting of over 1200 hotels throughout the United States, Canada , Mexico and Latin America.

Founded in 1992, HSI delivered the first Windows* based Point-of-Sale system to the Hospitality industry.
