Lexington(R) Services Corporation for Reservation Services
---

DALLAS, June 22, 1998 -  Lexington Services Corporation, the number one provider of hotel reservations in North America,* today announced The Clift Hotel of San Francisco as its newest member. This alliance allows travel agents throughout the world to book rooms and to access detailed information about The Clift Hotel via the LM access code on the major Global Distribution Systems (GDSs).

Originating in 1915, The Clift Hotel was conceived as a magnet for the international luminaries attending San Francisco's futuristic Panama-Pacific Exhibition. The Clift has since established itself as an internationally renowned landmark of San Francisco that embraces the grand traditions of the past, while initiating unparalleled levels of service and comfort.

Now managed by Ian Schrager Hotels, The Clift maintains its sophisticated spirit, attracting a distinguished clientele comprised of an eclectic commingling of artisans, diplomats, executives and celebrities from all over the world. Oversized, richly appointed guest rooms, an elegant lobby, incomparable amenities, and the traditional style cuisine and ambiance of the old world French Room and classic Redwood Room bar are but a few of the many distinctions that justify The Clift's longtime status as the only hotel in San Francisco judged worthy to receive top awards in the hospitality industry.

Backed by a professional and dedicated staff, some of whom have been with the hotel for over 45 years, The Clift continues to set the standards in the Bay Area for luxurious accommodations, attentive, personalized service and overall excellence. "It is the consistent, flawless service that our guests receive from our long-term employees," says general manager Sileshi Mengiste, "that makes this hotel one of the best in the world."

Having a history of providing reservation services for leading hotels of a similar caliber, Lexington Services is enthusiastic about this new relationship with The Clift Hotel. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to add this exquisite property to our portfolio of premier hotels, and we are confident that this working relationship will generously benefit both Lexington and The Clift Hotel in the years to come," said Zolon Wilkins, III, senior vice president of development and operations for Lexington Services.

Founded in 1991 and backed by the Wilkins family's more than 40 years in the hospitality industry, Lexington Services Associates, Ltd. provides voice and electronic reservation services for more than 2,100 independent and chains hotels 48 countries worldwide. Lexington's central reservations office, located in Irving/Las Colinas, is connected to all major GDSs.
