Opus 2 names New Directors as Company Restructures
to Manage Growth and Product Demand

Portsmouth, NH (December 30, 1997) -- OPUS 2, one of the worlds leading developers of revenue management software for the hotel industry, has announced the appointment of five new directors to its management staff. These new positions have been created in response to significant growth, product development, and sales during 1997.

CEO Charles Clack stated that the new Directorships will enhance the companys ability to provide the excellent service and innovative technology for which it is known.  Weve been experiencing very positive growth and saw the need
to create a more sophisticated management level to streamline communications and day-to-day operations, said Clack.  Our new Directors will help us handle our increased number of projects and contracts, as well as technical development, client service, and customer support.  It all has to work together to keep us at the forefront of our industry.

Mark Burton has been named Director of Software Development.  Burton joined the company in 1994.  He is now responsible for software development for the entire line of OPUS 2 commercial products, including the companys primary
revenue management system, TopLinePROPHET, as well as third-party interfaces.

Diane Riefenstahl has been named Director of Marketing and Operations Support. Riefenstahl has been with OPUS 2 since 1996 and is now coordinating the development, marketing, and operations functions within OPUS 2.  She serves as
the key liaison between OPUS 2 and its customer base, and oversees customer training and special projects.

Barbara Cochrane has been named Director of Technical Support.  She is responsible for providing a high level of technical support to OPUS 2s software users.  With the company since 1996, Cochranes duties include management of customer call volume and assignment of engineers for technical support.

Sterling Udell has been appointed Director and Senior Developer for OPUS 2. He joined the company in 1993 and is currently in charge of OPUS 2s largest custom software development project.

John Riddell has been named Director of Research and Development.  He is the chief scientist for OPUS 2 and oversees new product development, product enhancement, and other special projects.  Riddell has been with OPUS 2 since 1993.

OPUS 2 has experienced significant growth due to the success of its TopLinePROPHET yield management system which was introduced to the hotel industry in late 1996.  This Windows-based software system has already achieved significant improvements in revenue for more than 60 hotels across the U.S., with new installations being readied in Europe.  The hotel industry is booming and so is the need for high-quality operations support, said Clack.  Our product has captured the attention of the marketplace within a short time and this is where we are challenged to meet the demand for our technology and services.
